Random thoughts:
I loved to start with 24h daylight, had not experienced that before.
Enjoy the wildlife in the nordic part !
Start early to avoid summer heat (south Spain was extreme)
If fire danger is very high – stay on a camp site or hotel (even it means a detour)
Take a rest day in a big city, Cordoba was brilliant – I can recommend.
Last but not least, meeting my daughter at the border to Portugal and riding the last days with her, was clearly the most enjoyable part.
Now having done the TD & EDT – what is next for an old guy….?
