Most favourite part:
The norther part:
Grense Jakobselv was very beautiful. I can´t forget the magnificent coast there. On the way to the start I saw the frozen lakes and my first reindeer. It was always sun at the beginning of June there.
Every day in Norway, Finland and Sweden was a huge adventure with awesome campspots, fighting with mosquitos and rain and many beautiful lakes to swim after a long ride.
Denmark:
The Seaside of Denmark was very windy but also very beautiful. It was very nice to find a dry shelter with fresh water and firewood after a rainy day.
Germany:
I saw many nice places in Germany I didn´t know before.
France:
THe Vosges and the Jura were my highlights of France. I enjoyed being alone on the top of the hills and camping in nature there.
Spain:
The landscape in Spain changes a lot after every 100km. My favourite parts were the montanas vacias with the javalambre where I met Ernesto, the creator of the bikepacking rot montanas vacias. With him I went to a nice refugio a little bit off the track.
I saw many stars and a beautiful sundown on that night. After this I came to the Parque Natural de las Sierras de Cazorla. The plateau with the refugio on 1800meters was very beautiful.
Portugal:
Cycling on the coast at the end oft the EDT was a great feeling.
Random Thoughts:
The northern part is a pure adventure.
This road is never ending.
Never try Swedish sausages again.
When was the last time I met someone in the north?
It doesn’t matter what time it is when you can cycle all day and night.
Pushing up my bike in the vosges is very hard.
August is too hot for cycling in andalucia.
Bocadillos every day is great.
