I have several favorite parts:
The starting- and end point with the ocean view was just incredibly beautiful and filled with emotional feelings and excitement.
The Sierra and Jura with their surreal and stunningly beautiful nature views. I remember every time I was standing on the top of a mountain or at a big open water view: “now it’s not getting any better” and I was blown away every time – so difficult to name one favorite part.
Coming from Denmark (Scandinavia) I remember that the roads and nature in the Southern section was the most exciting section of the trial – but I also really loved big parts of the Northern and Central section.
Random thoughts:
Border crossing from Germany to France was a really funny experience!
Hitchhiking to Kirkenes with a bunch of Russians was a nice start to the trip!
Now I know I can eat 1 big greek yogurt, 350 g of crunchy müsli and 2 bananas for breakfast if i’m really hungry!
Now I know what hike a bike means!
Now I know how it feels to have cycled alone through Europe!
